Airports with Free iPhone Apps

Now that more and more airports are providing WiFi, they are also coming up with phone apps.  The European airports are leading the charge with the app development, while it seems the the rest of the world’s airports are lagging behind.  I’ll keep this list updated and add to it as new apps are released.

Amsterdam Schiphol - Includes: flight arrival & departure times, airport directions, a terminal map and information on: baggage storage, WiFi, shopping.  This app is missing food/beverage information.
[ Schiphol Amsterdam Airport App ]

Frankfurt Airport – Includes: flight arrival & departure times and very thorough airport guide with directions, shops, dining, baggage, etc.  I couldn’t find the Internet info which seemed a bit strange.  Downloading this app took a while – over a minute on my normally fast home connection.  You’ll definitely want to do the download where there is a fast connection.  [ Frankfurt Airport (FRA Airport) ]

London Heathrow Airport - Very thorough app with the usual flight arrival and departure times, as well as a “My Trips” features which allows you to track your upcoming flights.  This app also has terminal maps, dining info with hours of operation.  I like this one.
[ Heathrow Airport Guide ]

Paris Charles de Gaulle and Paris Orly – Includes: flight arrival & departure times, airport directions, WiFi, lounge, parking and car rental information.  Nice app, but it could use a map and food/beverage information.
[ My Airport - The Official Aéroports de Paris app ]

San Francisco – Being the only American airport app I was able to find, I was disappointed by this one.  Basically this app is only good for flight arrival and departure times.  There are two other features: “Find Places” and “Find Friends”.  The “Find Places” feature lets you find dining and shopping concessions, but only displays those with Yelp Reviews.  The  “Find Friends” tab is to connect to Facebook to tell people you are at the San Francisco airport.  This app definitely needs improvement! Singapore Changi Airport – Includes: flight arrival & departure times, airport directions,  tells you what is open for 24 hours.  Could use a map as well as information about the transit facilities, movie theatres, and other Changi airport features we have grown to love.  Good, but needs work.
[ iChangi App ]

Below are some more airport apps.  I haven’t had the chance to look at these ones yet:

Arlanda AirportAthens AirportBeirut AirportBergen Lufthavn •  Cologne Bonn Airport  •   Copenhagen AirportDarwin Airport •  Dublin Airport •   East Midlands Airport •   Göteborg Lanvetter AirportHamburg Airport  • Hannover Airport •  Lyon Airport  • Manchester Airport Melbourne Airport • Munster Osnabruck Airport •  Norwich Airport •  Oslo AirportPadderborn Lippstadt Airport •  Pisa Airport •  Sandefjord  Airport •  Stuttgart Airport TAG Farnborough •  Trondheim Airport • Zurich Airport

Am I missing any free apps developed by the airport?

Which airport apps do you use and what do you like/dislike about them?

I might add, that Zurich Airport has a pretty nice app as well for a month or two now.
